Boys' Brigade

Each week The Boys' Brigade works with thousands of young people, many of whom have no other connection with the Church. Today we are working with over 60,000 children & young people in over 1500 companies (groups) in the UK & Republic of Ireland every week.

The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old. These resources have been developed to help volunteer youth leaders work in a relevant and creative way. We hope through these programmes they will be able to make a positive contribution to a young person's life and be able to share their faith.

We are the 41st Boy’ Brigade and we are part of South Holburn Parish Church. During school term times we meet on Friday evenings in the church hall.

The Anchor Boys (ages 6 to 8) meets from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. This provides an infomal introduction to the BB, with suitable games for this age group.

The Junior Section (ages 8 to 11) meets from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and the Senior Secion (ages 12 to 18) meets from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The programme includes gymnastics (mat work, horse, parallel bars) and athletic pursuits such as high-jump and football. We also have marching and badge work which can lead to the Duke of Edinburgh and Queens badge.

Our BB Company also takes part in Battallion competitions and attends a joint camp called Aberdeen & Moray boys brigade camp. This camp is well attended and each year we change our location. A good time is held by all who attend.

Any boys interested in Joining would be made welcome. For more details contact:
