South Holburn Lunch Club

During the winter, the Lunch club usually meets on the third Wednesday of the month in the church hall.

Each meeting begins at 12.30pm with a three course lunch costing £4 and this is often followed by entertainment. The meeting draws to a close at 2.30pm.

Transport to and from the meeting is provided on request for those who have difficulty getting to the hall.

Contact with the Lunch Club can be made via Alastair McCulloch – telephone 01224 317317.

The Lunch Club is staffed by a team of volunteers.

Our numbers are remaining constant – if not rising – with an average of 50 lunches served per month.

THE SELKIRK GRACE

Some hae meat and canna eat,
and some wad eat that want it,
but we hae meat and we can eat,
and sae the Lord be thankit.

A GRACE BEFORE DINNER

O thou who kindly dost provide
For every creature’s want!
We bless Thee, God of Nature wide,
For all Thy goodness lent:
And if it please Thee, Heavenly Guide,
May never worse be sent;
But, whether granted, or denied,
Lord, bless us with content.
